Teaching
Teaching focuses on social studies of politics and
governance as well as social studies of science and technology and
social studies of the senses and aesthetics. Theoretically there is a
focus on pragmatist, praxeological and sociology of knowledge
approaches. Methodologically there is a focus on qualitative social
research following a pragmatist orientation of grounded inquiry
comprising participatory observation, analyses of texts and images,
interviews and open experiments. Thematically there is a focus on
politics and governance of sustainable development especially with
respect to energy and food.
Teaching activities include
taught courses [1] and supervision of research work for doctoral
dissertations [2] and BA- and MA-theses. Every semester people working
on different kinds of study and research projects meet for a two-day
colloquium which is held as a peer-coaching workshop on conceptual and
methdodological issues of studying “governance as practice and
culture”. Guests are welcome, please write a message, if you wish to
participate.
